A slew of fashion-forward stars hit the town this week, so did they push the style envelope? Which red carpet risk takers went wild and who kept it mild?

Here’s how they stack up on a scale of 1-5, with 1 being mild and 5 being wild.

LADY GAGA
SCORE: 2 out of 5
No raw meat dress or hot pink sperm hat here! The Lady almost looks like a lady in this Carolina Herrera black one-shoulder silk gown with an oversize bow. Of course, the major raccoon eyes take things into the over-the-top Gaga territory we’ve all come to expect from the star and Grammy nominee!

KATY PERRY
SCORE: 2 out of 5
Pretty tame for the fun, flirty Katy who wore this pastel lace strapless Dolce & Gabbana gown to the Grammy nominations concert. Leave it to Katy, to color coordinate her ‘do with her dress!

NICKI MINAJ
SCORE: 1 out of 5
Where is the signature crazy outfit we love? This has to be the most understated look I have seen from the outrageous rapper! Like Katy, she also went with Easter egg-hued hair, which played off her bright blue strapless dress. She accessorized the look with an oversize “Barbie” necklace. Bring back the drama, STAT!

SARAH JESSICA PARKER
SCORE: 3 out of 5
Always a high fashion devotee, SJP loves to take chances and she goes for it with this unusual Louis Vuitton ombre feathered dress. She’s certainly worn wilder looks (hello Philip Treacy bird nest hat!) and while this is not my favorite look, I love that she always keeps us guessing.

CHARLIZE THERON
SCORE: 3 of 5
The actress doesn’t always play it safe (remember that Dior dress with the giant roses on each breast she wore at the Academy Awards?), but more often than not, she goes for a classy, elegant style. She’s taking a bit of a departure and a walk on the wilder side with this plunging, low-cut Gucci dress at New York’s Gotham Awards. The shape shows off her long neck and well-toned shoulders and arms. She looks sexy and gorgeous!
