“I have everything I need. I just want to keep healthy and happy,” Naomi reveals in next month’s More magazine. At 43, the petite Aussie stunner flaunts her youthful glow as the magazine’s October cover girl.
The actress has an upcoming one-two hit at the box office, starring in the biopic “J. Edgar” with Leonardo DiCaprio and the thriller “Dream House.” But, it’s her home life that completes Naomi’s world. She has two young children with her longtime partner, actor Liev Schreiber. She had her first child at 38 and is glad she waited on motherhood. “You grow up and hopefully become more self-aware. I think I’m a better parent. I had a lot I wanted to do when I was younger, and perhaps I wouldn’t have been as focused; I got a lot out of the way in terms of my own dreams,” she reveals to More.
Naomi’s life has had its share of tragedy. Her father died when she young and her onetime boyfriend, Health Ledger, accidentally overdosed on prescription pills in 2008. Naomi credits Heath with helping her becoming the person she is today. “We had a beautiful relationship, only a couple of years, but he was a man who was completely full of joy, and there was a lot of laughing and affection. He was really a special soul and made a great impact on my life.”
Today Naomi is happiest hanging with her kids and Liev in New York City, where the couple makes their home. Her dreams for her kids are like most parents, telling More magazine, “I want them to feel connected to me and me to them. I want them, above all, to feel sure of who they are. That they are safe in the world. And confident and happy people. This is the most important dream/goal in my life. Everything else is gravy.”
