I've met Katie Lee a couple of times when she's appeared on Access Hollywood Live and she couldn't be more friendly and down-to-earth. (Not to mention beautiful!).

It'd be easy to hate her, if she wasn't so darn nice… I mean what can't she do? A professional chef, TV star and author… Katie Lee has has even collaborated with the folks at hip makeup brand Stila on the Stunning in Sayulita palette, which includes four eye shadows, cheek color and bronzer/highlighter.

Katie, who is wearing the makeup in this photo, tells us the palette was inspired by her new book.

"I had the opportunity to venture down to Sayulita, Mexico to do some research for my new novel "Groundswell". To get inspiration for the book," Katie says, "I spent a lot of time walking on the beach and taking surfing lessons--and I was struck by the natural beauty of the local surfer girls. I wanted to bring that beachy glam look to women everywhere, so for the palette, I chose neutral, universally flattering earth tones with a hint of shimmer. My hope is that Stunning in Sayulita will help women radiate surfer-girl confidence this Summer, whether they are riding the waves, lounging by the pool, brunching with friends, on a first date, or heading to the office!"

Here's how you can get that beachy glam look courtesy of these tips by Stila Pro Artist Sarah Lucero.

Step 1 – Start with a base
Begin by applying the palette's Starfish Eye Shadow, a shimmery rose gold hue, all over your lids with a fluffy brush. A softer brush will keep it sheer.

Step 2 – Brighten your eyes
Dampen a small shadow brush with a couple drops of water then dip in the Sandbar Eye Shadow and apply this pink shimmer shade to the crease to enhance eyes and "wake up your makeup". The shimmer will brighten up when you dampen the shadow.

Step 3 – Add depth
Apply Getaway the palette's deep bronze shade, to the entire lash line (upper and lower), and gently buff it out to create a sultry smokey eye. It's all about creating a structure around the lash line that looks effortless and soft.

Step 4 – Bring on the drama
Dampen a small liner brush like Stila #4, and dip into the Palm Tree Eye Shadow, the subtle green shade. This color can be used at the outside corners of the eyes over Getaway to add drama for the days you want to glam it up.

Step 5 – Play up your lashes
Complete your eyes with 2 coats of your favorite Stila mascara. I love Forever Your Curl black mascara - it leaves your lashes looking full, fluffy and natural.

Step 6 – Add some color
Apply Playa Cheek Color on the apples of the cheeks for a healthy, youthful "surfer girl" flush.

Step 7 – Give yourself a glow
Complete the look with the Banderas Bay Highlighter/Bronzer, a universal flattering shade that can be worn on cheeks, forehead and the bridge of the nose to give you the perfect "kissed by the sun" glow.

The Stila Stunning in Sayulita palette is $14 and available at www.stilacosmetics.com.
