Award season is over, but there’s no rest for the weary! Here are five fun things we’re mad about this month!
MAD FOR THE BALLROOM:
Strap on your shoes and get ready to do the rhumba…my guilty pleasure—‘Dancing with the Stars’—is back! Melissa Gilbert, Jack Wagner and Urkel! (Jaleel White) are among the contestants for the 14th season. Check it all out starting March 19 on ABC.
MAD ABOUT ‘FASHION STAR’:
The cool thing about this competition show featuring celebrity designers Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie and John Varvatos as mentors is that the clothes you see on the show, you can buy in the store the next day. Elle Macpherson hosts. ‘Fashion Star’ debuts March 13 on NBC.
MAD ABOUT DVF:
Fashion icon Diane von Furstenberg has teamed up with GapKids and babyGap for an adorable and affordable collection for girls. Prints in bright colors are the name of the game and there are even pint-sized wrap dresses! Love it! My question is, when will she make a Gap collection for the mommies who can’t afford her designer line!? The DVF GapKids and babyGap collections are in stores March 15.
MAD FOR CHEAP CHIC STYLE:
H&M does it again, this time teaming up with Marni for an affordable collaboration featuring lots of quirky prints the high-end brand is known for. (Check out Drew Barrymore wearing Marni for H&M!) The collection—for both women and men—includes clothing and accessories. Marni for H&M launches March 8. Pieces range from $9.95-$199 www.Hm.com.
MAD ABOUT ‘MAD MEN’:
The fifth season of ‘Mad Men’ returns to AMC on March 25 and you can definitely dress the part! Banana Republic’s second ‘Mad Men’ collection of retro-chic clothing for both men and women is in stores this month, and Estee Lauder introduces two classic makeup essentials inspired by the women on the show. The Estee Lauder Mad Men Collection includes Lipstick in Cherry and Creme Rouge in Evening Rose. Available for a limited time at Bloomingdales and www.esteelauder.com.
